Frequently asked questions
What is qlipra?
qlipra is a desktop AI app that turns long videos into viral short clips, polished edits, click-worthy thumbnails and multi-language dubs — all using your own OpenAI and ElevenLabs API keys.
Who is qlipra for?
Podcasters, YouTubers, livestreamers, agencies and brand teams who publish a lot of video and want to ship faster without paying SaaS markup on AI.
Why a desktop app instead of a web app?
Privacy, speed and cost. Your raw footage never uploads to a third-party cloud, processing uses your own machine and GPU when possible, and you avoid bandwidth fees baked into web tools.
Do I need technical skills to use my own API keys?
No. You sign up at OpenAI / ElevenLabs, copy a key, paste it into qlipra once. Done.
Is my content private?
Yes. Video files stay on your computer. Only transcripts and prompts go to OpenAI / ElevenLabs under their standard API terms.
What platforms does qlipra support?
Windows and macOS desktop. Output is optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and YouTube long-form.
How is qlipra different from Opus Clip, Submagic, Vizard and 2short?
BYOK pricing (pay AI at cost), local desktop processing (privacy + speed), and an integrated workflow: clipper + thumbnails + dubbing in one app.
